- 12 oz pasta such as ziti
- 2 cans tuna in water drained
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- chopped parsley optional, for garnish
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a food processor or blender, combine the cottage cheese, milk, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Blend until smooth.
Gently fold the drained tuna into the sauce.
In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with the tuna cheese sauce until well coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top evenly with breadcrumbs.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and the dish is heated through.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
