Ingredients
  

  • 1 head green cabbage shredded
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes or a squeeze of lemon optional, for brightness

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and sauté about 30 seconds, until fragrant (don’t let it burn).
  • Add shredded cabbage and sprinkle with salt. Stir to coat evenly in the oil and garlic.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6–10 minutes depending on how soft or caramelized you like it.
  • For a tender bite: cook just until wilted.
    For deeper flavor: let it brown a little, stirring less often.
  • Season with black pepper and finish with red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired.
