- 1/2 cup butter unsalted, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2.5 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the applesauce, egg, and vanilla, and stir until fully combined.
Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, then mix in the flour until just incorporated.
Add the oats, raisins, and milk, and stir until everything is evenly mixed. The dough will be thick and a bit sticky.
Scoop tablespoons of dough onto your baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
