- 1 ripe banana mashed
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or lightly grease an 8x8" baking pan.
In a bowl, mash the banana until smooth.Add the eggs, applesauce, and maple syrup. Whisk until well combined.
Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just mixed — don’t over mix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into your prepared pan. Top with extra chocolate chips if you’d like.
Bake for 20–24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool completely before slicing for the best fudgy texture.
