Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe banana mashed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or lightly grease an 8x8" baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mash the banana until smooth.Add the eggs, applesauce, and maple syrup. Whisk until well combined.
  • Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just mixed — don’t over mix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter into your prepared pan. Top with extra chocolate chips if you’d like.
  • Bake for 20–24 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely before slicing for the best fudgy texture.
