- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
- jalapeno peppers thinly sliced (fresh of pickled)
- 8 cabbage leaves large
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise

Form burgers: Divide the ground beef into 4 patties and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Bake: Place patties on a lined baking sheet and cook for about 15–18 minutes, or until cooked through.
Add cheese: Place cheddar slices on each burger during the last 2 minutes so they melt.

Prepare cabbage: Carefully peel off large cabbage leaves and rinse. Pat dry.
Assemble: Place a burger in a cabbage leaf and top with tomato, red onion, jalapeños, and a drizzle of the mayo-ketchup sauce.
